Box Score Calgary â€" With only two games left in the regular season the Cougars were able to defeat the top team in the Prairie Division, downing the Saskatchewan Huskies 2-1 today at MRU Stadium Field.
 
Goals from Ryan Clancy (57') and Brendan Canejo (65') helped the Cougars secure their second win of the season. Tyler Redl (26') scored the lone goal for the Huskies.
 
Saskatchewan opened the scoring early on a cross from Luigi Bekwayo. Tyler Redl was able to convert it to earn his sixth goal of the season.
 
In the second half Ryan Clancy scored his first of the season in the 57^th minute to square the match at one.
 
Eight minutes later in the 65^th minute the Cougars took the lead. Brendan Canejo took the feed from Mike Stacey and gave the Cougars the lead.
 
Mount Royal held out to hand Saskatchewan their first loss of the season.
 
The Huskies and Cougars will play the second half of the series tomorrow afternoon at 2:30pm at MRU Stadium Field.
