Both Calgary-based schools enter the matchup nationally ranked this week. Mount Royal is ranked No. 7 in the nation with only two losses on their record. Despite being 2-4, the Dinos are also in the nation's top ten, having played one of the toughest opening schedules in recent memory.

The Dinos are up 5-3 in all-time, regular season competition against the Cougars.
MOUNT ROYAL COUGARS (4-2)
The Cougars begin a stretch of four straight games against nationally ranked opponents in Calgary (9) and Trinity Western (1). They are coming off two straight victories over UBC Okanagan at home last weekend. Riley Friesen (3.9 pts/set), Tyler Schmidt (3.8 pts/set) and Josh Kirkham (3.5 pts/set) have been offensive powerhouses for Mount Royal this season. Each player ranks in the top 20 in Canada West scoring this season.
CALGARY DINOS (2-4)
The Dinos have dropped four of their first six games but remain nationally ranked, due to the strength of their opponents. After losing their first three contests, they managed to split with Brandon and Winnipeg. Curtis Stockton has led the way for the Dinos this season. The fifth year, Australian national, has been tearing up the league this season. Stockton is averaging 4.3 points per set, along with 3.55 kills per set.
