Edmonton, AB - The Mount Royal Cougars avenged their loss to the Alberta Golden Bears on Saturday defeating the MacEwan Griffins 4-0 on a cold and wet day at the Jasper Place Bowl in Edmonton, AB.

Cody Cook turned in a solid two-point game for the Cougars, recording a goal and an assist, earning the Player of the Game honours. Cook was joined by teammates
Lewis Odosa and Daylon Cato-Meyer who also registered a goal and an assist respectively.
For the Griffins, Bennett Foster earned Player of the Game honours for his strong and consistent defensive play in the loss.
The win moves Mount Royal into first place in the Canada West Prairie Divison at the half way point of the regular season.
The Griffins will need to regroup quickly as they take on the University of Alberta Golden Bears in a Wednesday night game at Foote Field. The battle of Edmonton will kick off at 5:00 p.m.
The Cougars will continue their string of road games, travelling to the University of Lethbridge on Thursday for a 6:00 p.m. game.
