2013 MOUNT ROYAL REMEMBERS HOCKEY GAME PROUDLY SUPPORTED BY CARDEL HOMES

The Mount Royal Cougars will host the Calgary Dinos for a men's hockey game in support of the Canadian Military and its veterans.

Calgary, AB â€" On Friday November 15, 2013 the Mount Royal Cougars will host the Calgary Dinos at the Flames Community Arenas for the Second Annual Mount Royal Remembers Hockey Game presented by Cardel Homes.  Opening Ceremonies begin at 7:00pm prior to puck drop.

Mount Royal University, the oldest higher education institution in Calgary, has a long and proud history with Canada's military. Mount Royal's campus is built on the former site of the Number 3 Service Flying Training School. Since 1910 28 Mount Royal students have paid the ultimate price in the service of their country.

There are multiple benefactors from this event including the Calgary Veteran's Food Bank, the brave men and women serving our nation and scholarship recipient Eric Galbraith. For each ticket sold, Cardel Homes will donate $5 to the Veterans Food Bank. At the game Cardel Homes will match the Cougars 50/50 donation and donate $500 per Cougars goal to the Veterans Food Bank.

Cardel Homes will also be presenting the Cardel Homes Leadership Award for Men's Hockey to Eric Galbraith. Galbraith, a fifth year forward, was the leading scorer on the Cougars last season and is an ambassador to Mount Royal community. Cardel has already pledged the scholarship next year as they will add a second recipient in 2014 and 2015.

Tickets may be purchased in advanced at the Cougar Athletics Office prior to game day. Tickets will also be sold at the gate of Blue Rink at the Flames Community Arenas starting at 6:00pm.
