Biography

2012-13

The Australian-born Brisbane (dual citizen) began his post-secondary career in the ACAC with the Red Deer Kings. In 70 sets played he was usually primarily as a defensive player. He averaged 1.43 digs per set and only 0.19 assists per set.

2013-14

Brisbane took a step back in his second ACAC season averaging only 0.26 digs per set and 0.13 kills per set while appearing in a career-low 52 sets. At the end of the season Brisbane transferred from Red Deer College to Mount Royal University.

2014-15

Brisbane took over the Cougars’ setting duties in 2014-15. He posted a team-leading 798 assists, which was 738 more than his next closest teammate. The 6’3 setter was a workhorse for MRU playing in 93 sets, the second most on his team. He collected 40 assists in a single game against the TRU WolfPack. 

2015-16

Brisbane split setting duties this season with Tanner Greves. In 71 sets, Brisbane had 384 assists good enough for second on the squad. He appeared in all 24 matches for the Cougars, helping lead them to their first playoff appearance in school history.
