2014-15

The freshman scored one goal in nine games, with his lone tally being a crucial strike. Canejo’s marker against the top-ranked team in the Prairie Division, the Saskatchewan Huskies and turned out to be the game winner. Canejo was hungry for goals this past season, as he finished second among all Cougars’ midfielders in total shots with six. Canejo was also a finalist for the Cougars’ Freshman Athlete of the Year Award.

2015-16

The former rookie of the year had another solid season in the Cougars’ midfield. In 10 games, Canejo had one assist and directed four of his nine shots on goal.
