Biography

2012-13

Scott had a solid rookie campaign playing in all but one game for Mount Royal. He registered five points and was a staple on the Cougars’ first power play unit. McKay played his junior hockey in Medicine Hat of the WHL. After three seasons with the Tigers, McKay left junior at 19 to join the Cougars defence corps.

2013-14

McKay broke out offensively in his second year with the Cougars registering 13 points. McKay also had the team’s third-best plus/minus rating and helped lead Mount Royal to their first ever Canada West playoff appearance. In three games against the Manitoba Bisons, Scott registered two assists.

2014-15

The former Medicine Hat Tiger continued producing offensively in his third season. McKay was second among all Cougar defenders in scoring in 2014-15 putting up 14 points. The Calgary, Alberta native posted three assists during the Cougars’ playoff run.
