Biography

2014-15

King had a slow start to his rookie season but found a groove playing on the wing with fourth year Tyler Jewitt and fellow rookie Zach Henry. The trio became an important energy line and shone the brightest in the playoffs. In six playoff games King had three points, none bigger than the goal he scored coming out of the box in game two against Calgary on Feb. 28. King played four seasons with the Calgary Mustangs of the AJHL, wearing an ‘A’ in his final season.

2015-16

Jamie King went from a role player in his rookie season to perhaps the most improved player on the Cougars in 2015-16. King was outstanding his sophomore season, setting career-highs in every major statistical category. His 23 points were good enough for third on the team. He was also one of the team’s best penalty killers and saw time on the second power play unit.
