2011-12

Nickel came to the Cougars after a junior career with the Calgary Canucks (AJHL) and the Kindersley Klippers (SJHL). He played in one game for the Cougars in their final ACAC season, allowing four goals.

2012-13

Nickel did not dress for any regular season games for Mount Royal in 2012-13.

2013-14

Dustin missed the entire season due to a knee injury suffered in training camp.

2014-15

Nickel did not dress for any regular season games for Mount Royal in 2014-15.
