Grant Slessor, originally a product of Tilston, Man. has over 40 years of coaching experience among the minor hockey, college and university levels.

A certified level 2 coach in hockey, Slessor has held many men's hockey assistant coaching positions including with the Canadian National team in 1997-98, as the Mount Royal College assistant coach from 1992-97 which included two Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference Championships in 1992-93 and 1994-95 and now with the MRU Cougars from the 2014-15 season to present.

With a Master's Degree from the University of Montana, Slessor has been a program coordinator for the Faculty of Continuing Education and Extension with Mount Royal University since 2012.
