Biography

2013-14

After starting the season at the pro level with the Arizona Sun Dogs in Central Hockey League, Lanigan transferred to Mount Royal after the holiday break. He appeared in two games for Mount Royal in the second semester, serving as the backup to veteran starter, Dalyn Flette.

2014-15

In his first full CIS season Lanigan went 8-5-0 and posted a steady 2.54 goals against average and 0.915 save percentage. He won the starting job and was thrust into his first CIS playoff action against the Saskatchewan Huskies in round one. Lanigan and the Cougars defeated the Huskies in three games to set up a date with the Calgary Dinos. Unfortunately, he sustained an injury in overtime of game one against Calgary and was forced to miss the remainder of the playoffs.

2015-16

An early season injury saw Lanigan loose his starting job to sensational rookie Colin Cooper. However, when given the opportunity Lanigan show flashes of his former brilliance, leading Mount Royal to four wins. In 10 games for the Cougars, Lanigan posted a 2.87 goals against average in just over 585 minutes played.
