Biography

2013-14

Zarazun was used sparingly in his rookie season with the Cougars. In eight games, Brett registered one assist and collected four penalty minutes. Prior to signing at MRU, Brett played three seasons of junior hockey in British Columbia. In his final season with the West Kelowna Warriors of the BCHL he had 18 points in 54 games.

2014-15

The High River, Alberta native’s game took off in 2014-15 playing in every game for Mount Royal. Paired with fellow sophomore Emerson Hrynyk, the two formed a solid shut down tandem playing against some of the leagues’ top talent. Brett also found the back of the net four times and played in all six playoff games for the Cougars.

2015-16

Brett Zarazun’s game took another tremendous leap forward in his third season with the Cougars. The High River, Alberta native proved he could defend the top players in the country, logging a lot of minutes on the backend for Head Coach Bert Gilling. Zarazun set a career-high in points with seven and assists with six.
