Biography

2012-13

In his rookie season Gardner made a strong case for the team’s rookie of the year vote. The Calgary native started twice in 22 games and averaged 6.5 points. He shot 0.76% from the free-throw line and had 56 assists.

2013-14

Gardner played in all but one of the Cougars’ games in his sophomore season. In an average of 13.2 minutes of floor time, Jalen put up respectable numbers dropping 6.1 points per game and dished out 30 assists over the course of the season.

2014-15

Gardener ranked third on the Cougars in three-point percentage last season hitting 36.2% of his shots. The guard was a strong defensive presence in 2014-15, averaging 2.5 takeaways per game, which ranked him second on the team.  Gardener had a clutch overtime performance against the MacEwan University Griffins, back on in November. The Calgary native scored five points in the Cougars overtime win.
