Born and raised in Calgary, Quinn Taylor spent two years at St. Mary's University before finishing his degree and playing career at Mount Royal University, where he ultimately became team captain. As a student-athlete, Taylor was a three-time Academic All Canadian and a two-time CCAA national scholar.
He obtained his degree in Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Accounting from MRU in 2020 and earned his Learn To Train certification and has spent the last seven years coaching club basketball with Calgary Basketball Association. The 2021-22 season marks Taylor's first year as a coach with MRU and fifth year being involved with the program. Taylor is a high IQ coach and spends a great deal of time on the court working on player development. As a recent student-athlete he understands the challenges that many of the players go through and works to help them on and off the court.
