2013-14
Katie Waring red-shirted for the Cougars during the 2013-14 season. As she did not appear in any games for Mount Royal she was eligible for transfer.
2014-15
In 2014-15 Katie transferred to SAIT of the Alberta Collegiate Athletic Conference. She averaged 8.15 points per game in 27 games for the Trojans. She was also a very respectable 77.8% from the free throw line. Waring helped lead the Trojans to a silver medal at the ACAC championships. In the spring Waring transferred back to Mount Royal.
