Verney exploded onto the scene during her first season in the CIS. The rookie sensation led the Cougars in scoring, while finishing in the top five in assists, rebounding, free throw percentage and takeaways. The Halifax, Nova Scotia product won the rookie scoring race in the Explorer’s division and was subsequently named to the 2015 Canada West All-Rookie Team. She went off for a career high 28 points against the UNBC Timberwolves, back in November, 2014.
