Biography

2012-13

Kirkham was recruited by Head Coach Shawn Sky out of Cambridge, Ontario. In his rookie season with Mount Royal Kirkham appeared in 34 sets and was used primarily as a setter. He averaged 3.74 assists per set. In the summer of 2013, he participated in the Men''s National Junior Team selection camp at the National Training Centre in Gatineau, Quebec.

2013-14

Kirkham split setting duties with Mike Wickstrom in 2013-14 and his numbers improved dramatically from his rookie year. Kirkham played nearly double the amount of sets (62) in 2013-14 and his assists per set reached 6.03.

2014-15

In 2014-15 Kirkham was moved to the outside where he committed a mere 30 errors in 74 sets while hitting a .251% and registering 42 block assists. His kills per set went up to 1.0 and his points improved to 1.6 per set.

2015-16

Kirkham was a forced up the middle for Mount Royal this season. In 24 matches, he tied for the team lead in total blocks with 80. He was also fourth both points per set (2.2) and kills per set (1.41).
