2011-12

In his freshman reason, Lefebvre was a part of the Cougars’ ACAC Championship team. He scored only 19 points in his 12 games played but laid the groundwork for a promising career with the Cougars. Lefebvre’s versatility went on display in his rookie season, as he played all three forward positions.      

2012-13

Lefebvre saw his numbers decline as the learning curve between the ACAC and the CIS became readily apparent. In 22 games, James started five times but was limited to only 82 points on the season. His numbers at free throw line improved to 0.59% but his points per game average dipped to 3.7. 

2013-14

2013-14 was a breakout year for Lefebvre, who established himself as one of Mount Royal’s premier players. In 22 games, James scored 203 points in 22 games, third highest on the team. His rebounds shot up from 2.5 per game to 5.1 and he was named The Weaselhead Athlete of the Week during the first week of November. 

2014-15

Lefebvre was the Cougars’ most prolific shooter in 2014-15, with a team-high 48.6%. He also led MRU with the highest points per game average at 13.3. Lefebvre also recorded the highest rebounds per game average on the team recording 7.7. In January, James was named The Weaselhead Athlete of the Week. His brilliant season culminated with an Athlete of the Year nomination at the annual Cougar Night banquet.
