Biography

2012-13

In his inaugural season with the Cougars, Tarko suited up in only one game. Head Coach Jamie Pollock had the foresight to ease him into the CIS in year one, expecting big minutes from the Calgary, Alberta native in years to come.

2013-14

Matt set career highs in 2013-14 in every statistical category. He started 14 of his 15 games and played 1213 minutes to help keep the Cougars in the playoff race. The sturdy midfielder had one assist in 15 games in 2013-14.

2014-15

Tarko chipped in one assist in ten games in his third year while tying a career-high in shots on goal. His games played dropped from 15 to ten in 2014-15 as injuries hampered the junior midfielder.
