It was a cool and grey 4PM start for the MRU Cougars as they take on the University of Lethbridge Pronghorns.

In the 7^th minute the Pronghorns get a free kick at half field, creating some chaos in front of the net testing MRU defenders and keeper Bryce Benton.

In the 20^th minute Jonathan Walter gets a foul in the keeper's box, which sets the Pronghorns up with a penalty shot.

Karim Bey is set up for the shot, he puts it by Benton on the lower right side, to get the Pronghorns up 1-0.

In the 21^st minute Josh Flaksman is given a yellow card for dissent, in the 22^nd minute Tim Beckadahl receives a yellow card for unsportsmanlike behaviour.

In the 42^nd minute after an initial shot by Pronghorns Simon Rolfson, Benton deflects and there's an open rebound for Kai Sakaguchi and he capitalizes on the open net. Getting the Pronghorns up 2-0
before the end of the half.

A yellow card is given to Michaiah Leach during added time of the first half.

In the 56^th minute, Lethbridge is sending in a corner kick, which deflects off the crossbar, creating a scramble out front.

Pronghorns midfielder Ben Gingras breaks loose with the ball and kicks a high and hard shot and buries it, the Pronghorns are now up 3-0.

In the 70^th minute Joseph Green receives a yellow card for unsportsmanlike behaviour, having that be the third yellow card for MRU.

In the 78^th minute Ben Gingras of Lethbridge receives a yellow card for unsportsmanlike behaviour.

In the 87^th minute Samuel Okawa receives a yellow card for unsportsmanlike behaviour.

The Cougars applied pressure throughout the second half of the game but just couldn't capitalize, being shut out by the University of Lethbridge Pronghorns.

The Cougars look to come out of the weekend even, with a Sunday afternoon match against the University of Saskatchewan Huskies.
