CALGARY – The Calgary Dinos ruined Mount Royal's home opener defeating them 4-0 this afternoon at Cougars Stadium Field. Maddie Lee, Carmen Lee, Natalie Arnett and Maddison Fritze all found the back of the net for the Dinos. The Cougars were held scoreless for the second time in three matches.

The Dinos wasted no time opening the scoring as the Lee sisters connected on the match's first goal. Carmen faked around the defender and got the ball to her sister Maddie who deposited it into the goal for a 1-0 Dinos lead.

The Cougars managed to hold the Dinos at bay after an early swarm but Calgary proved to be too strong. In the 34th minute it was Carmen Lee's turn to get on the board. Carmen took the ball from her sister and slid it past an outstretched Cailyn Leeson to extend the lead to 2-0.

Just four minutes later the Dinos added their third of the game off the foot of Natalie Arnett. When the halftime whistle blew, Calgary was up by three.

In the second half, the Dinos continued to control the pace of the match. They added to their lead in the 77th minute when Dominica Wronski curled the ball out from the corner and Maddison Fritze put it away to increase the lead to four.

With the victory, Calgary keeps their perfect record in tact, moving to 3-0-0 on the year. Mount Royal remains winless on the season, dropping to 0-3-0.

Mount Royal will conclude the second half of their weekend set with a visit from Lethbridge tomorrow. Kickoff is slated for 11am at MRU Stadium Field.

Calgary will have a quick turnaround and head up to Edmonton to play MacEwan tomorrow afternoon.
