Tanika Dawson has been the face of the women's hockey program for five seasons. She helped the Cougars win an ACAC championship in 2012 and was integral to the program's move to the CIS. Tiki, as she is known by her teammates and coaches, has been a key offensive player for the Cougars, ranking in the team's top three in scoring in each of her five seasons.

Since moving to the Canada West conference, Tiki has been a part of the core leadership group, wearing an 'A' on her sweater. This, in her final season, she was named team captain. She embodies what being a Cougar is all about.

"Tiki's contributions to our program will leave a lasting impression.  Her team first attitude, work ethic and leadership have been invaluable over the past five years and she will be deeply missed. Everything she does is with team's best interest at heart. Her commitment to the program and Cougar Athletics is irreplaceable." â€" Head Coach Scott Rivett

Taralynn Suzuki
2010-11 to 2014-15
2011-12 ACAC Gold Medal
2010-11 ACAC Silver Medal

Taralynn has been one of the Cougars' offensive leaders since she started with the program five years ago. In her first season she was purely a goal scorer and was a fairly one dimensional player. Today, she has emerged as one of the best all around players who is on the ice in all situations including the penalty kill.

Whether it is on or off the ice Taralynn has matured into a terrific ambassador for the women's hockey program. She is a very active member of the Mount Royal community and can always be counted on to lend a hand within the department. She has become a valuable member of the women's hockey leadership group and has proven to be a good sounding board for both players and coaches.

"Taralynn has come a long way on and off the ice since she first started here in 2010. She is a great example to the rest of the program of what can be accomplished if you are willing to put in the time.  Although she is small in stature, you could never question her desire to make a difference every time she has the opportunity. She has made a huge difference in our program over the past five years. â€" Head Coach Scott Rivett
