Mount Royal University Cougars Athletics & Recreation

Katya is a graduate of Dalhousie University, where she earned a degree in business management with a major in marketing. As a student-athlete, she played hockey for the Tigers, was a four-time CIS Academic All-Canadian, and served as President of the Student-Athlete Board in her final season. While at Dalhousie, Katya also gained valuable experience working as the Marketing and Communications Assistant for the Tigers, later advancing to the role of Marketing and Communications Coordinator after graduation.

In 2013, Katya joined the Cougars Athletics team at Mount Royal University as the Marketing Coordinator. Her leadership and expertise led to her appointment as Associate Director, Marketing and Partnerships in 2018. In this role, she oversees all aspects of communications, events, marketing, sports information, and sponsorships for Cougars Athletics and Recreation.

Katya also holds a Sales Certificate and a Leadership Development Certificate from Mount Royal University. Her blend of strategic vision, athletic insight, and marketing acumen makes her a key contributor to the success and visibility of the Cougars brand.
