Tino Fusco

Born and raised in Regina, Saskatchewan, Tino Fusco has been the head coach of the women’s soccer team at Mount Royal University since 2009. Since taking the helm, he has earned multiple accolades, including ACAC Soccer and Futsal Coach of the Year, and led the team to consistent growth both on the field and in academic achievement. Prior to becoming head coach, Tino served as an assistant coach for the men’s program.

As a player, Tino enjoyed a distinguished career representing the University of Saskatchewan in Canada West. Over five years, he earned All-Canadian honours and was a three-time consecutive recipient of the All-Star Conference award. After graduation, he was drafted by the Vancouver 86’ers, now known as the Vancouver Whitecaps in Major League Soccer.
Tino holds a Canadian Soccer A License coaching certificate and is a Chartered Professional Coach. He also serves as a National Level Coach Developer within the National Coaching Certification Program. Academically, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Saskatchewan and an Engineering Design Diploma from the Southern Institute of Technology.

His coaching career has taken him around the world. He represented U SPORTS as an assistant coach at the FISU Summer Universiade in Kazan, Russia, and was the first FISU Team Canada Head Coach at the Futsal World University Championships in Brazil, where he led the team to a program-best fourth-place finish.
