Meagan Tocher

Meagan joined Mount Royal University in July 2021 as an Assistant Athletic Therapist. She is a Certified Athletic Therapist through the Canadian Athletic Therapists Association and a Certified Athletic Trainer through the National Athletic Trainers Association in the United States. With extensive experience in both clinical and field settings, Meagan has previously served as the Head Athletic Therapist for Toronto FC Juniors and has worked with the Canadian Soccer Association and Trinity College School.

Her academic journey includes an Honours Bachelor of Applied Science in Kinesiology and a Diploma in Fitness and Health Promotion from the University of Guelph-Humber, as well as a Bachelor of Applied Health Sciences in Athletic Therapy from Sheridan College. She also holds a Master of Science in Performance Psychology from the University of Edinburgh.

Meagan is currently pursuing a PhD in Community Health Sciences with a specialization in Medical Education, further deepening her expertise at the intersection of health, performance, and education. Her diverse background and ongoing research make her a valuable asset to the Cougars Athletics and Recreation team.
