Garret Vander Ploeg joined Mount Royal University in November 2025 as the Sports Information Supervisor, where he oversees all game day and broadcast staff for Cougars Athletics. Prior to MRU, he spent three years as a producer on Sportsnet 960’s morning radio show, managing all behind-the-scenes operations while also contributing on-air. An alumnus of MRU’s Broadcast Media Studies program, Garret brings a strong passion for sports and media, consistently finding creative ways to elevate his work.
