Brett Zollen joined MRU in May 2026 as the Recreation Facilities Coordinator. In this role, he is responsible for the maintenance and organization of recreation facility equipment, as well as supporting the equipment needs of our varsity teams.
Prior to joining MRU, Brett worked with the BC Lions from 2021–2025 and the Denver Broncos from 2025–2026 as an Equipment Manager.
Brett holds a degree in English from the University of Victoria, where he was also a varsity athlete from 2012–2017 as a member of the men’s swimming team. He qualified for U SPORTS in each of his final four years and competed at the 2016 Canadian Olympic Trials.
At MRU, Brett plays a key role in ensuring our Recreation facilities maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, appearance and functionality, while also helping keep our varsity athletes looking their sharpest whether competing at home or on the road.
Outside of work, you can find Brett at a live sporting event or concert, on the golf course, or spending time with his wife and cat.
