2011-12
Smith’s first season with Mount Royal was also the Cougars’ last in the ACAC. Jenna played 59 sets in her rookie year backing up Mackenzie Allen. With most of the setting duties given to Allen, Smith became very effective from the service line notching eight service aces during her limited floor time.
2012-13
In 2012-13 Smith’s numbers increased dramatically as she appeared in 83 sets. She averaged 1.66 assists per set and 0.58 digs per set. Her leadership qualities began to take shape with the squad as she helped lead MRU all the way to the Canada West final four in their first season in the conference.
2013-14
Jenna’s number of sets decreased in her final year as Allen’s understudy. However her setting proficiency increased dramatically. Her 2.37 assists per set were second on the team and laid the groundwork for the starting job in 2014-15.
2014-15
In her fourth season, the Beaverlodge, Alberta native had a team-leading 699 assists. Her assists per set skyrocketed to 7.52. Jenna’s level of desire and tenacity on the court helped her finish third among all Cougars in digs with 207. In the summer before the 2014-15 season, Smith was named team captain.
