Biography
2012-13
Mikayla played with the Medicine Hat Rattlers of the ACAC in 2012-13, before joining the Cougars. She dominated the conference averaging 2.68 kills per set in 78 sets played.
2013-14
It was a bit of a learning curve in Fritzke’s first season in the CIS. In 38 sets played, she averaged 1.16 kills per set and 1.43 points per set. She became a versatile secondary attacker behind team leaders Julia Pasieka, Fallon Middlemiss and Carolyn O’Dwyer.
2014-15
Fritzke had a breakout season in 2014-15, emerging as an offensive weapon for Mount Royal. Mikayla finished second among all Cougars in kills with 164 and points with 199. She also crushed her previous CIS career highs in both of those categories. The left side hitter also had 19 service aces, the third most on the team.
