Biography
2012-13
In her rookie season, Willis averaged 1.34 kills per set and 1.91 points per set. The summer after her initial season with MRU, Willis represented Alberta in Volleyball at the 2013 Canada Games and captured the gold medal. She also won back-to-back national championships at the u17 and u18 levels while playing for the Calgary Junior Dinos.
2013-14
In 53 sets, Willis put up the best numbers of her career with 1.46 kills per set and 2.14 points per set. She racked up a total of 76 kills in her sophomore season playing in a more limited role behind some of the team’s veterans. Willis also proved to be a calculated defender averaging 1.0 blocks per set.
2014-15
The Cochrane, Alberta native used her long frame for a number of crucial blocks for Mount Royal. She was tops on the Cougars finishing with a team-leading 1.09 blocks per set. Willis also set a career high in kills last season with 118 and was third among all Cougars in points with 180.
2015-16
Willis finished fourth on the team in both points per set (2.3) and kills per set (1.61) and appeared in all but four of the Cougars 87 sets last season. Willis made her second playoff appearance since the Cougars first got to the final four in their first season in the league.
