2014-15
The Calgary native had a phenomenal rookie campaign, impressing her coaches with her smart, hard-working defensive play. She finished second among all Cougars in digs with 221 and sported a team best 2.95 digs per set. Runge became the team’s number one libero after showcasing her versatility on the court. She was named to the Canada West All-Rookie Team and was named Mount Royal’s Freshman Female Athlete of the Year.
2015-16
Coming off a rookie all-star nod, Runge was asked to play two different positions in 2015-16, splitting her time between libero and outside hitter. She was fifth on the Cougars in digs with 135 in 74 sets.
