CALGARY, AB - Today Mount Royal University Cougars Athletics and Recreation celebrated the 2024-2025 U SPORTS Academic All-Canadian Awards. A grand total of eighty-five student athletes were honored for their academic excellence and appreciated for their dedication to the classroom and the sport of their choice.
In order to be eligible for this prestigious award, Mount Royal University varsity student athletes must maintain a full course load and achieve an academic standing of eighty percent or better.

Karla Karch says she "is immensely proud of all of our student athletes and in particular the 85 students that achieved the Academic All Canadian status. This is the type of award that shows how strong they are in the classroom and their respective playing fields."
Karch also notes that a day such as this reinforces the core principles of Mount Royal University as it demonstrates the school's student first approach and the quality of people that they are able to recruit.
