Box Score The Mount Royal Cougars set up their men's volleyball home opener on Friday night against the Thompson Rivers University Wolfpack.

Kale Orr was setting the game up for the Cougars coming up with some big blocks throughout the first set.

Cougars came up just short on the first set- with TRU taking set one 28-26.

Heading into the second set with TRU up 1-0 on the Cougars.

A great dig out by the Wolfpack creates a rally and the Cougars are able to capitalize off the rally and get the point and make the score 16-16.

Kai Toney is able to just tip the ball over the net to get even the score at 17.

Orr gets down his 10^th kill of the game and gets the Cougars up 19-18 on TRU.

Issac Karstad sets the Cougars up with a kill and right after that he puts up a block to get the Cougars 23.

The Cougars take the second set off of a Cody Hudson kill and are now tied 1-1.

Hudson is leading the Cougars in the third set, putting up a big kill while getting an ace to get the Cougars up 7-4.

Parker Bailey of the Wolfpack gets an ace to get the set tied at 14.

Cougars do much more damage throughout the set, Michael McAlpine gets a kill to get the set 24-15.

The Cougars take set three, 25-15.

McAlpine is keeping it up throughout set four, setting up the Cougars with a block and a kill.

The Wolfpack get the kill after a rally and a dig out by  Jakob Leinemann to get the score tied at 8 in the set.

Kai Toney sets the Cougars up with a kill the Cougars are up 10-8.

Hudson gets a block up for the Cougars to be up 21-18.

The Wolfpack are not going down without a fight and are able to get back within 2 points of the Cougars.

The Cougars get away with the win in their home opener taking the 3 sets to 1 against TRU.

They look to get the sweep tomorrow in the double head against the Thompson Rivers University Wolfpack.
