The Cougars men's hockey team played in their first of three Crowchild Classic series this past weekend. They found themselves with a win and a loss to bring them to eighth in the new U SPORTS Top 10 Rankings.
They started the weekend at Father David Bauer on Friday night to take on the Calgary Dinos. Â Â Â
Jayden Wiens was the lone goal scorer for the Cougars as they would fall 2-1.
The following day, the Cougars played their home opener against the Dinos at Flames Community Arenas, where they bounced back, defeating the Dinos 3-2.
Remy Aquilon,
Connor Bouchard and
Josh Tarzwell all found the back of the net to split the series.
The Cougars men's hockey team will be back in action this weekend as they take on the MacEwan Griffins. They hit the road on Friday but will be back home Saturday. Puck drop is at 5 PM MT.
