Box Score The Mount Royal University Cougars played the University of Victoria Vikes on a mild yet windy afternoon in Calgary, AB.

The match kicked off with the Cougars taking charge of the ball and the Vikes taking a corner kick in the first two minutes of play.

A strong save by Vikes goalie Callum Weir and just seconds later, Ethan Keen passes to Clement Guay creating momentum. A header by Caden Rogozinski moves the ball towards the Vikes end.

Approaching the end of the first half, Abel Nesibu's speed stands out as he creates plays to push towards the Vikes goal. Sjard Strauss made a strong save in the 40th minute of play and the Cougars continued to be consistent on the field. With just one minute left in the first half, the pressure increases for the Cougars to really take control and lead before half time. At the end of the first half the score remains 0-0. 

As the second half progresses, the Cougars continue to keep strong defense and make plays towards the Vikes net. In the 70th minute of play, Jonathan Walter passes to Alex Kemsley where he heads the ball towards the Vikes net and scores, changing the score board to 1-0 for the Cougars. 

A very close scoring opportunity by Finn Marshall but the ball goes off the right post and isn't successful. Mowbray Beghin proves his speed and applies offensive pressure. With multiple attacks by the Vikes, the Cougars showed strong defense and an aggressive attitude. 

The game ended in a 1-0 win for the Cougars.
