CALGARY, ALTA. - The Cougars are back in action after taking home Mount Royal University's first Canada West Championship. The first game of the Mount Royal Athletics 2024-25 season kicks off with the Men's Soccer team hosting the University of Lethbridge on Saturday, August 24, followed by the Women's Soccer team welcoming the University of Victoria on Thursday, August 29 during their home opener.
The defending champs in Canada West Men's Soccer take on the University of Lethbridge, unveiling the 2023 Canada West Championship Banner in their home opener. The men will play at home twice the first weekend, followed by a five-game away hiatus, eventually returning home for a five-game home stretch before finishing their regular season against Lethbridge again.
The women will also start at home this season taking on the University of Victoria a week after the men's home opener. They will play three straight games at home before taking the road for four games. They will play sporadically at home and away for the rest of the season before finishing at home against UBCO in their regular season finale.
