It was announced today by U SPORTS that Cougars women's volleyball captain, Quinn Pelland, has been named to the U SPORTS First-Team All-Canadian.

Captain Pelland, known for incredible setting and play-making capabilities, led the Cougars with a total of 801 assists in 84 sets played or 9.54 assists-per-set finishing fourth overall in Canada West. Statistically, her best game came when the Cougars took down the University of Alberta Pandas on February 3 and fourth when she recorded 77 assists between the two games -  a new record for the Cougars. For her efforts that weekend, Pelland was named a Canada West and U SPORTS Player of the Week. 

The Wanham, Alta. product was also impressive during the Cougars playoff run leading the team with an average of 10.35 assists per set during the team's five playoff games. Pelland also championed the team a 4-1 playoff record and Canada West Silver medal.

Now the Cougars will face the University of Manitoba on Friday, March 18 at 8 p.m. PST / 9 p.m. MT in the U SPORTS Women's Volleyball Championship quarter-finals. Details about the broadcast can be found here https://usports.ca/en/broadcast.
