MRU Recreation Access Information

Our facility will open in line with Government of Alberta regulations, to students, employees and public members.

Update as of March 10, 2022

As of March 1, 2022, Mount Royal University will suspend their current directive and proof of vaccination will no longer be required for campus access. Masks will be required until April 30, unless when physically active in the Recreation Center. Please continue to stay home and not visit campus if you feel unwell.

Facility Access
Before arriving on campus, please check that you do not have any of the symptoms related to COVID-19.

Effective March 1 2022, proof of vaccination will no longer be required to visit Mount Royal University campus.

Mask Protocol
For your safety and the safety of others, masks are not required but are strongly recommended.

Change Rooms, Washrooms and Lockers
For those who do not wish to purchase a locker, day-use lockers will be open for use with your own lock. Day-use lockers are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. For more information visit our Locker Rentals webpage or visit the Recreation Customer Service Desk.
 
Equipment Rental
There is equipment available at the Customer Service Desk and in the Fitness Centre. All equipment will be sanitized between users, and we encourage you to to clean equipment before and use as well.

Safety and Cleaning Protocols
Regularly scheduled cleaning will be done more often and include sanitization procedures that focus on high touch point areas, such as entrance doors, handrails and elevators.
 
Hand sanitizing stations are throughout the facility and you are strongly encouraged to use them frequently. You are expected to wipe down equipment before and after use, with supplies provided throughout the facility.
