Box Score

GAME DATE: Nov. 26 vs. Calgary
LOCATION: Kenyon Court – 4:00pm MST

HEADLINES:

Both teams enter Thursday night's contest having been recognized nationally. The Dinos are the No. 6 ranked team in Canada this season. The Cougars are unranked but have received 12 points in the national coach's poll. This Crowchild Classic game could be a preview of a first round matchup in February.

THE SERIES:

The Dinos lead the all-time series 5-3 over the past four seasons of regular season competition.

MOUNT ROYAL COUGARS (4-2)

Mount Royal made some noise last weekend, dropping the No. 2 UBC Okanagan Heat on Saturday night. The Cougars have been playing some great volleyball all without the services last season's Rookie of the Year, Carolina Alongi. The Cougars have just employed the next (wo)man up mentality and have been cruising. Cassidy Kitchen was a monster for Mount Royal on Saturday night, racking up 16 points, 14 kills and seven digs in the Cougars' 3-2 victory.

CALGARY DINOS (5-1)

The Dinos have suffered only one loss this season and that was to the No. 4 Trinity Western Spartans. Since that loss in their first regular season match, they have gone on a tear, winning five straight. Kate Pexman has been an offensive juggernaut for the Dinos this season. The second year hitter is averaging 4.5 points per set through 24 sets this season.
