New Cougars recruit attends Flames development camp

Top Cougars recruit Andrew Fyten has been chosen to attend the Flames annual prospect development camp. The camp takes place at Winsport this week from July 4-7 and has a camp roster of 39 athletes.

Andrew joins Mount Royal from the Edmonton Oil Kings where he had 24 points in only 33 games. He played a pivotal role hepling them advance to the conference finals last year. The Didsbury, Alberta native will bring championship experience to MRU with a WHL Championship in 2017-18 with the Swift Current Broncos.

"We are excited for Andrew to get this opportunity to experience a NHL development camp with the Flames," said Head Coach Bert Gilling. "Andrew committed to MRU Cougar Hockey this spring and has been working hard in preparation for the 2019-20 year. It is great to see him get rewarded after a successful junior career. We are looking forward to working with him when he gets to campus this fall."
