    CALGARY – MRU Cougars women’s basketball coach Nate McKibbon will assistant coach Team Canada in the FIBA U16 Women’s Americas Championship 2019. The coaching staff was announced by Canada Basketball last Friday. He joins the elite group of other Mount Royal University head coaches, who have been a part of Canadian national team programs.

In the first game on Friday night, the Griffins won 73-66 in a tight affair that came down to the final minutes. MacEwan followed up their win, with a 69-54 victory on Saturday, securing a series sweep and improving to 4-6 for the season.
