The Mount Royal Cougars put together another solid season finishing fifth in the conference with a 12-11-5 record, advancing to the Canada West semifinals for the fifth straight season. The Cougars had a solid 8-6 record on home ice, along with a 7-1 stretch during the middle of the season.

The Cougars had a balanced scoring attack with eight players notching 15+ points. The Cougars were led by first year goalie, and Canada West All-Rookie Team member, Riley Morris. The Calgary product  finished fourth in Canada West in goals against average and third in save percentage.

Colton Kroeker was also named ot the Canada West All-Rookie Team, while Connor Rankin was awarded the Canada West Sportsmanship and Ability Award. Senior Colin Cooper was recognized as the Cougars Athletics and Recreation Brian Fleming Award recipient, demonstrating excellence in academics, athletics, leadership and community service.

The Cougars will continue to build on the successes of the program in 2018-19, focusing on the strong culture and values created during their time in Canada West.
