The Cougars finished the season near the bottom of Canada West with a 2-18 record. While this was not the result that the team was hoping for, it was a year of growth for the program.

The Cougars were lead by #14 Charity Marlatt this season. Charity is in her fourth year of a Bachelor of Health and Physical Education degree at Mount Royal University. While only in her second season with the Cougars, having such a strong forward enabled many of the younger players to reach their full potential. As a result, Charity was named as the team MVP.

First year player Maddison Hooper was instrumental in the Cougars success with 12.4 points per game. Originally from Perth, Australia she is studying Open Studies at Mount Royal University. She beat out all other Canada West rookies with an impressive 27.2% 3-point shooting percentage. Hooper was recognized by Canada West, being named to the 2018-2019 All-Rookie team.

The Cougars will look to contiune developing in the 2019-2020 season.
