CALGARY - Two volleyball players have been named the Muscle Milk Athletes of the Month for the month of February.
Nataliia Klimenova of the Cougars women's volleyball team made a splash coming in to play for Mount Royal in the new year as the team's starting libero. Playing in eight games in February including a playoff series, Kliemnova accumulated a total of 150 digs, averaging 19 per game. Her best game came on February 2 when she recorded 32 digs, a season-high, against the Manitoba Bisons. The Ukrainian rookie also recorded 34 assists.
On the men's side, fourth-year Tanner Greves earns the Athlete of the Month honours. In six games played, the veteran setter recorded 266 assists, good for an average of 44 per game. Twice in February he hit his season-high with 51 - once against the Manitoba Bisons on Feb. 2, and again on Feb. 9 versus Brandon. Greves also added 44 digs in February for the Cougars.
